Lincoln Park restaurant may be the star of new reality TV series

Lincoln Park’s restaurant, The Squared Circle, will hopefully soon be appearing in a new reality TV series, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Producers of the popular trutv TV series, “Hardcore Pawn,” filmed a pilot episode at The Squared Circle in the neighborhood a few weeks ago. Should the show get picked up, it would revolve around the everyday operations of the restaurant, as well as Lisa Marie Varon, owner of the restaurant and pro wrestler, and her unique career path.

The Squared Circle on 2418 N. Ashland Ave. opened in March and specializes in pizza and gourmet burgers. Many other wrestler personalities have visited the location like Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page, The Honky Tonk Man, Rikishi, Lance Storm, Rhyno, Molly Holly, Alicia Fox and Maria Kanellis, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Varon went under the alias “Victoria” in WWE and “Tara” in TNA. The celebrity restaurant owner works The Squared Circle on a nightly basis, greeting guests. Prior to the restaurant, Varon owned a gyro stand in Lombard and a pizzeria in Louisville, Kentucky.
