The doughnut shop, located on 813 W. Fulton Market, is famous for their Maple Bacon Long John that comes with one whole slab of bacon across the top. Patrons also salivate over their signature Crème Brûlée doughnut that comes with brûléed sugar crust and filled with your choice of vanilla crème brûlée, pumpkin, or chocolate filling.
Their current featured seasonal delight is the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip doughnut, a pumpkin cake doughnut with vanilla bean glaze, cream cheese frosting and chocolate shavings.
But my personal favorite is the Chocolate4, a chocolate cake doughnut with a chocolate glaze, crunchy white chocolate pearls, and chocolate shavings. The pearls on top remind me of tiny malted milk balls, and the chocolate cake tastes more like real cake than a doughnut.
Founded by native Chicagoans Tom Culeeney, pastry chef, and Scott Harris, Chef/Restaurateur, Glazed & Infused was launched only a couple of years ago, and falls under the umbrella of Francesca’s Restaurants. The specialty doughnut shop has four other locations across Chicago’s neighborhoods including River North, Wicker Park, Streeterville and Lincoln Park.
